2015 IKKF ANNUAL TRAINING



The INTERNATIONAL KARATE KOBUDO FEDERATION is pleased to announce its 31ST ANNUAL TRAINING, JULY 10-12, 2015. Our first Annual Training was held in 1984 at which Okinawa Kenpo Karate Kobudo Hanshi SEIKICHI ODO was present. Over the years we have continued with the concept of bringing together a group of top flight instructors for three days of in-depth training on the traditional martial arts.

The 2015 IKKF ANNUAL TRAINING will be held at the IKKF HONBU ( HKA Dojo) located in Reading, PA. The ANNUAL BANQUET will again be held at the INN AT READING in WYOMISSING, PA. The INN AT READING will also be the Event Hotel offering a Special IKKF Event Rate of $89.00 per night (king/double).

The training is open to 7th Kyus (Yellow Belts) and above, as sessions will be available for all levels. So get your registrations in early to reserve your place. Last year's event was one of the best yet, but this year's event looks to be even better.

INSTRUCTORS:

For our 2015 Training Event, we are focusing on pulling together a gathering of Senior Okinawa Kenpo Practitioners to share their perspectives on the teachings of the late HANSHI SEIKICHI ODO as set forth in his Okinawa Kenpo Karate Kobudo system. This event should be quite unique and one not to miss. We are honored to have these tremendously talented teachers participating in our training event - Master Odo would be proud of his students working together in friendship and brotherhood. In particular we plan to devote Friday as our focus day for training in Okinawa Kenpo Karate and Kobudo. Our Saturday and Sunday Sessions will also include our other guest Instructors presenting other topics on the traditional arts.

- Hanshi Ann-Marie Heilman, 9th Dan, Okinawa Kenpo (Karate & Kobudo)

- Plus other invited IKKF Renshi-Kai Instructors

- Also Special Service: Danzan-Ryu Restorative Therapy by Eric Mest and Kathy Focht (donations accepted)

TOPICS:

The 2015 IKKF ANNUAL TRAINING will run over 3 days and will be held at the IKKF HONBU.
Topics for the sessions will include:

Bring your own weapons. Some weapons will be available for sale at the event. NO VIDEO TAPING is permitted of the seminar by seminar participants. IKKF Video Training DVD's will be available for purchase at the event.

ANNUAL BANQUET:

The IKKF ANNUAL TRAINING BANQUET which will be held at THE INN AT READING. All awards and rank promotions will be made at the Banquet. The dinner will be in its own formal banquet room with cash bar. After dinner we can retire to the spacious bar/lounge at the Inn. It is a great time to share with your fellow practitioners and their families. Hope to see you there.


YUDANSHA TESTING:

As usual for the IKKF Annual Trainings, a FORMAL YUDANSHA TESTING will be conducted. This testing will be held on Friday Evening at the IKKF Honbu.

IKKF Testing - A Yudansha Testing will be held for those members being considered for Yudansha Certification in Okinawa Kenpo Karate Kobudo as well as Okinawa Kenpo Kobudo. Any IKKF Dojo Heads who have members of their dojos that they wish to recommend for promotional consideration should forward a copy of the individals martial arts resume along with their promotional request (note - promotion fees should accompany recommendation for testing).

EVENT HOTEL:

The INN AT READING will be the place for accommodations for the event. As with last year we plan to be able to secure a SPECIAL RATE for the event ($89.00 per night, king or double bed) - just mention the "IKKF Event" when you register. Also, as in the past participants can sleep over at the Honbu. Space is limited so if you are planning on staying at the Dojo, register for the Annual Training EARLY and add a note with your registration about who would be asking to stay at the dojo (bring your own bedding/pillows, etc.)
